The team is focused on securing a victory to earn the crucial three points that would keep its quarter-final hopes alive, contingent upon the simultaneous match result between Saudi Arabia and Morocco. Saudi Arabia currently leads the group with 6 points, followed by Morocco with 4 points. Oman Football Team holds third place with a single point, while Comoros trails without any points.
In the pre-match press conference, Portuguese head coach Carlos Queiroz affirmed that the team continues its rigorous preparations with undiminished focus.
