With minimum or night temperatures dropping in most governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, November is ideal for outdoor activities and exploration, like camping and trekking.

The National Day holidays have been declared in Oman on November 26 and 27

Temperatures are dropping to below 20 degrees Celsius in Nizwa, Suhar, Jabal Shams, Bahla, Sur, and events in parts of Muscat and the Dhofar governorates.

Places to explore include Jebel Akhdar, which offers numerous hiking routes, terraced farms, and canyon views.

Misfat al Abriyeen is ideal to explore the 300-year-old mud-house village nestled in the mountains, walking through date palm plantations and enjoying the sunset views.  The village was named one of the World Tourism Organisation's Best Tourism Villages in 2021 for its cultural and natural preservation and sustainable tourism. Visitors can explore its narrow, maze-like alleys, hike its trails, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Experience the Wahiba Sands with an overnight stay in a camp, dune bashing & sandboarding.

For visitors to the capital, take a boat trip to snorkeling and dolphin watching.
