Al Dakhiliyah Governorate on Thursday welcomed an international media delegation comprising more than 50 journalists from 20 countries who are visiting the Sultanate of Oman to cover the National Day celebrations and learn about the governorate’s historical, cultural, and tourism attractions.
Organised by the Ministry of Information in cooperation with Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, the visit aims to strengthen Oman’s media presence and showcase the nation’s comprehensive development.
The tour began in Adam, where Dr. the Wali of Adam and a number of local sheikhs received the delegation and briefed them on the wilayat’s history, heritage sites and development projects aligned with Oman Vision 2040.
The journalists toured the historic al Busaid neighbourhood, observed traditional Razha and Al Azi performances, and watched a display of horsemanship reflecting the wilayat’s cultural identity. They were also introduced to the neighbourhood’s significance in the early formation of the Al Busaid state.
The programme further included a visit to the Oman Across Ages Museum in Manah, where the delegation explored exhibitions documenting the political, social and economic development of the Sultanate across different eras
