MUSCAT: Hotel revenues in Oman’s 3–5-star segment grew significantly in the first nine months of 2025, supported by stronger visitor arrivals and improved occupancy levels, according to the latest data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

Total revenues increased by 18.2%, reaching RO 193.36 million by the end of September 2025, compared with RO 163.63 million in the same period of 2024. The rise reflects continued momentum in Oman’s tourism sector and the steady return of international travel.

Guest numbers also rose by 9%, with hotels receiving 1,687,112 guests compared with 1,547,523 a year earlier. This growth translated into a stronger occupancy rate, which climbed to 52.8%, up from 46.7% in 2024 — an improvement of 13.1%.

International source markets showed notable growth. Visitors from Oceania recorded the highest increase at 47.8%, reaching 32,121 guests. African guests rose by 22% to 10,769, while arrivals from the Americas grew by 31%, totalling 55,321 guests. European visitors also expanded by 21.9%, with 416,857 guests recorded by the end of September 2025.

The strong performance across key hotel indicators underscores the continued recovery and expansion of Oman’s tourism industry as it moves towards national targets under Oman Vision 2040. — ONA
