SALALAH: The Al Baleed International Culinary Festival 2025 kicked off in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, attracting both Omani and international chefs.
Organised by Anantara Al Baleed Resort Salalah in collaboration with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and Dhofar Municipality, the festival runs until November 21 and aims to promote culinary tourism while highlighting Dhofar as a leading gastronomic destination.
The festival’s international night featured several Michelin-starred chefs, blending global expertise with Omani culinary heritage. Interactive culinary demonstrations allowed international chefs to collaborate with the resort’s head chefs, merging modern techniques with traditional Omani flavours.
The diverse programme includes evenings inspired by Michelin-starred cuisine, Omani culinary experiences and interactive public events. The festival seeks to leverage Dhofar’s natural and heritage assets, promote Omani cuisine globally, and encourage the exchange of expertise between local and international chefs through specialised workshops.
In addition, the festival highlights Omani agricultural and marine products, showcasing their quality and competitiveness on the international stage. Michelin stars, awarded by the French Michelin Guide, represent one of the highest recognitions of excellence in the culinary world.
