When discussing women’s empowerment in Oman, it is not about mere slogans or short-term efforts, but rather a holistic national vision that embodies the nation’s unwavering dedication to positioning women as essential partners in development and as catalysts for progress in all sectors.

Empowering women in Oman has become an institutional and sustainable approach, grounded in the principles of justice, equality and equal opportunity — values firmly established by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, as part of the pillars of Oman Vision 2040.

Within this framework, the Omani Women’s Academy has emerged as a pioneering national platform for cultivating female leaders and empowering women’s capabilities. By integrating education, entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence, the Academy opens new horizons for Omani women to excel and innovate across diverse fields.

The Academy has successfully transformed the concept of empowerment into tangible practice through its pioneering programmes and strategic initiatives, such as the 'Digital Women Ambassadors' Initiative, which builds a national female network in the fields of digital transformation and artificial intelligence, enabling women to become active contributors to an informed and innovative digital society.

The Female Founder Accelerator called Theanna is an advanced model supporting women entrepreneurs in the technology sector, providing a nurturing environment for developing their ideas and transforming them into impactful, sustainable startups.

Oman’s digital future would be incomplete without the creativity and contributions of its women. Today, their role goes beyond participation — they are leading, shaping and making key decisions in fields like artificial intelligence, technology and entrepreneurship.

The Academy firmly believes that building a prosperous digital nation begins with empowering women’s minds. Through its partnerships with both public and private sectors, it strives to promote a culture of innovation, enhance future skills among women and cultivate female leaders who contribute to the knowledge economy and digital transformation.

With each new initiative, the Academy reaffirms its national mission to invest in women’s potential — turning ambition into accomplishment and vision into reality — ensuring that Omani women continue to be vital partners in building a modern nation and driving its digital future.
