MUSCAT: Defending champions Al Amerat continued their winning streak in the 2025/2026 Domestic Beach Soccer League with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Saham in an exciting clash took place at the Sands Court of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex on Wednesday. The Muscat-based side showed resilience and tactical strength under coach Jalal al Sinani as they secured their second straight win to stay firmly on track in their title defence campaign following their opener victory against Masirah by 5-2. On the other hand, Saham, who were rested in the opening week, began their league journey with a narrow defeat despite their pressure in the last set of the match to score the equaliaer. The close scoreline reflected a balanced contest.


Meanwhile, Al Oruba maintained their perfect record with another emphatic 5-1 win over Salalah at the Sands Court of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex on Wednesday. Musallam al Oraimi was the star of the match as he scored three goals while Hatim al Zaabi and Abulaziz al Oraimi netted one goal each. The Sur-based side, who impressed in the opening week with a 7-2 triumph over Taqah, once again displayed their attacking firepower and solid defensive organisation. With two wins from two matches, Al Oruba have emerged as one of the leading contenders for this year’s league title. For Salalah, the loss marked their second straight setback, following their earlier defeat to Mirbat in the first round. The team will need to regroup quickly to stay competitive in the remaining fixtures.

The 2025/2026 Beach Soccer League featured participation of seven teams including: Al Amerat, Al Oruba, Mirbat, Saham, Masirah, Taqah, and Salalah. All the teams will continue to deliver top show encounters in order to vie for this season beach soccer league title.

In Salalah, Masirah bounced back strongly from their opening-round loss to claim a dominant 5-1 victory over Taqah at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Recreation. The team displayed improved coordination and attacking as they managed to finish the match with five goals. The result marked a return to winning form for Masirah, who looked confident throughout the match. While Taqah suffered their second consecutive defeat after Al Oriba defeat by 7-2 leaving head coach and his staff with much to address as the team seeks to recover in the upcoming rounds.
