MUSCAT: The Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA) has announced that Oman Tourism College (OTC) has been granted Institutional Accreditation following the successful completion of the Institutional Standards Reassessment (second attempt) conducted in accordance with OAAAQA’s established procedures.
The college initiated the reassessment process by submitting the Institutional Standards Assessment Application, through which it evaluated all its practices and activities in line with OAAAQA’s institutional standards. A panel of external reviewers was appointed to review and analyse the application, verify the information provided, and conduct an on-site visit that included interviews with the college’s leadership, staff, students and other stakeholders, as well as a comprehensive review of supporting evidence.
The Institutional Standards Reassessment (second attempt) focused on one core standard: Governance and Management. Based on the review findings, the panel concluded that the college met all institutional accreditation standards and requirements. The OAAAQA Board granted Oman Tourism College an “Accredited” status valid for five years, until November 2030. With this achievement, Oman Tourism College joins the list of accredited higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman.
