Dhofar Municipality has confirmed the removal of kiosks in several locations within the governorate as part of its efforts to regulate the use of public spaces and improve the appearance of Salalah.

These measures include the removal of unlicensed kiosks, those with expired licenses, or those that do not comply with applicable municipal regulations and requirements.

The municipality also clarified that all these kiosks are operated by expatriate workers, which contradicts the terms of the granted licenses.

Therefore, licenses will be granted to citizens who supervise their businesses themselves, in accordance with the approved regulations and procedures.

Dhofar Municipality is working on studying the allocation of alternative and organized sites for business owners, taking into account regulatory and health aspects, and ensuring that commercial activities are conducted in a suitable and regulated environment.
