Muscat: The Inspector General of Police and Customs has issued Decision 156/2025, amending some provisions of the Executive Regulations of the Foreigners' Residency Law by adding new categories.
The decision added a new category to which a visa is granted, namely the spouse of a foreigner who entered the Sultanate of Oman for cultural purposes and his first-degree relatives, at his request and under his responsibility, as per the regulations set by the competent authority.
Cultural visa
The cultural visa will be granted by the competent authority at the request of the competent body and under its responsibility to the foreigner coming for cultural purposes, and it is used within three months from the date of its issuance.
Cultural residency
The cultural residency will be granted to the spouse of a foreigner who entered the Sultanate of Oman for cultural purposes and to their first-degree relatives.
Cultural visa for 1 year: RO50
Cultural visa for 5 years: RO50 for each year
Cultural visa for 10 years: RO50 for each year
Cultural residency visa for 1 year: RO10
Cultural residency visa for 5 years: RO50 per year
Cultural residency visa for 10 years: RO50 per year.
Renewal
Cultural residency for one year: RO50
Cultural residency for 5 years: RO50 per year
Cultural residency for 10 years: RO50 per year
