MUSCAT, NOV 7

Visit Qatar and Experience Oman — the promotional arm of the Oman Ministry of Heritage and Tourism — have announced a new strategic alliance to enhance regional tourism cooperation and promote multi-destination travel between the State of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman. The announcement took place at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, one of the world’s leading global travel and tourism exhibitions.

The collaboration was unveiled in the presence of Eng Abdulaziz Ali al Mawlawi, Chief Executive Officer of Visit Qatar and Omar al Jaber, Chief of the Tourism Development Sector at Qatar Tourism. Representing Experience Oman were Azzan bin Qasim al Busaidy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism and Shabib al Maamari, CEO of Visit Oman.

Under this strategic partnership, Visit Qatar and Experience Oman will jointly develop integrated travel packages and cross-promotional initiatives encouraging visitors from key international markets — particularly in Asia and Europe — to explore both destinations within a single trip. Italy, Spain and China will serve as pilot markets for this initiative.

The agreement also includes coordinated roadshows, joint participation in major global travel events and close collaboration with leading tour operators to design and promote twin-centre packages that combine the cultural, heritage and affordable luxury experiences of both countries.

This partnership underscores the shared commitment of Qatar and Oman to strengthening regional tourism ties, driving visitor growth and positioning the Gulf as a unified, world-class travel destination. Through joint marketing efforts and enhanced connectivity, both destinations aim to attract global travellers seeking authentic and immersive experiences.
