MUSCAT: The third edition of the 'Youth Ambassadors Programme 2025' concluded in the Governorate of Muscat after five days of active programmes that took place at Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science in the Wilayat of Al Seeb.

The programme was organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).

The closing ceremony was held under the auspices of Khalid bin Hashil al Muselhi, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Administrative and Financial Affairs, in the presence of Basil bin Ahmed al Rawas, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Sports and Youth, among other officials.

The programme, which simulates the United Nations model, saw the participation of a broad cross-section of Arab youth. It underlined the significance of grooming a generation of young leaders who would shoulder the responsibility of highlighting the Arab identity through positive engagement in regional and international forums.

The programme also sought to enhance the contribution of youth to comprehensive development in their respective countries, notably in political, economic, social and environmental fields.

The closing ceremony included the felicitation of award winners of the “Youth Ambassadors Programme 2025” — members of international delegations who excelled in the fields of human rights, diplomacy and travel. - ONA
