Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has urged all residents and employers to make use of the final extended grace period, granted until December 31, 2025, to rectify their legal status and settle any outstanding fines or financial obligations.

According to the ROP statement, residents can renew their residence permits or transfer employment within the Sultanate of Oman without paying penalties resulting from the expiry of entry or residence permits, after verification by the Ministry of Labour.

The ROP also confirmed that expatriates wishing to leave Oman permanently will be exempted from fines related to the termination of non-work-related visas.

The authority stressed that this is the last opportunity for individuals to regularise their status in line with the laws and regulations in force.
