

MUSCAT: The National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking (NCCHT) held its periodic meeting on Wednesday, chaired by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, and Chairman of the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking.
During the meeting, the committee members welcomed the issuance of the new Anti-Human Trafficking Law, and discussed its most prominent provisions and its importance in bolstering the efforts and work of the committee.
The committee discussed the latest developments in the implementation of the National Action Plan for Combating Human Trafficking in the Sultanate of Oman (2024-2026) and reviewed the level of achievement, most notably the currently ongoing "Aman" (Safety) Campaign. Member entities also reviewed their efforts and activities aimed at consecrating awareness of the importance of countering the crime of human trafficking. — ONA
