The third day of the Youth Ambassadors Programme, held under the theme 'Climate Change', featured a simulation session of the United Nations Security Council and the Human Rights Council.

The goal was to provide young people with the opportunity to engage in diplomatic discussions that mirror real international debates on significant environmental and humanitarian issues.

Continuing its mission of promoting a culture of diplomatic dialogue and collective thinking among Omani youth, this edition builds on the success of the previous two editions.

It reaffirms the programme's role as a pioneering national initiative dedicated to preparing a generation that is well-informed about global issues.

The Youth Ambassadors Programme aims to train 100 participants in leadership and diplomacy, enhancing their skills in negotiation, persuasion and the drafting of official positions. It also aims to familiarise them with the mechanisms and operations of the United Nations and its various councils.

This year's edition focuses on climate change as one of the most urgent challenges to global security and human rights. Participants will discuss ways to enhance international cooperation in reducing emissions, financing the green transition and protecting groups most affected by environmental changes.

The programme reflects Omani youth's dedication to active participation in international affairs and their belief in the importance of dialogue and collective action in shaping a more sustainable and just future.
