Real Betis Balompie, a Spanish football club which competes in the top tier of the Spanish League will be establishing an academy to mould young footballers from the Oman soil, according to the club spokesperson.
The club, which had played in the Uefa Conference League Final against Chelsea and finished sixth in the Spanish League, has recently reached an agreement to launch the Real Betis Academy in Oman.
"We’re excited to announce that we’ve signed an agreement to launch a Real Betis Academy in Oman, where local youth will receive weekly training and participate in local league competitions. We will be opening the academy in Al Kuwair soon and admissions are already open," Juan Parra, sports director of Real Betis Academy said.
Real Betis is a Spanish professional football club based in Seville, Spain.
The club already has an international academy programme, with a fixed site in Saudi Arabia, and has launched projects in other Arab countries like Egypt and Algeria.
According to Juan, this project is focused not only on developing football talent but also on promoting values, discipline and sportsmanship among children, while spreading our training methodology around the world.
