Following the Omani Youth Day which was celebrated with vigour and zest on Sunday, the youth stated that they are driven by ambition, purpose and vision, inspired by the renewed Renaissance. They have excelled in a multitude of areas, ranging from astrophysics to social conscience, as well as the paths previously trodden by past generations in fields such as medicine and engineering.

The energy, creativity and vision of Omani youth light the way forward, second to none in their capability to drive innovation and progress. Young people bring fresh perspectives, creativity and new ideas to the table, shaping the future course of the country.

Waheeda Abdulaziz aspires to give Oman the attention it deserves. She hopes that Oman will develop in the best way possible and be known worldwide for the kindness, hospitality and love of its people.

"I aspire to become an architect in hopes that I can bring innovative designs that contribute to the development of the country's ever-changing landscape," said Al Waqas al Shaqsi, a Grade 12 student.

Al Qasim al Ismaili, a Grade 12 student, hopes to become a cybersecurity analyst to help ensure the data of Oman's residents remains secure, especially during a time when digital crimes are increasing exponentially.

"My hope for my country is for it to remain free and peaceful forever. My aspiration for Oman is for it to remain cultured, beautiful and unique. I want it to be well-known for its culture so that when visitors come to Oman, they can learn about who we are, what we like and what we do," aspires another student, adding that she also wants her country to work together with other nations, share ideas and stay united as one.

Omar al Azizi, a Grade 10 student, has an even bigger perspective for his nation. "I will contribute to Oman by, if given the chance, becoming a soldier and protecting the best country in the world, Oman. I will always be keen to have good manners for the proper representation of Oman."
