MUSCAT: The National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking (NCCHT) organised an event titled Meeting for Recovery and Self-Love, in cooperation with the Learn and Inspire Centre, on Saturday.

The event is part of the Sultanate of Oman’s ongoing efforts to protect victims of human trafficking and enhance psychosocial support programmes.

The event aimed to empower victims psychologically and emotionally, helping them regain self-confidence and a sense of security, within a national approach that protects humans and preserves their dignity.

Attended by specialists in psychological and social support, the event included interactive and counselling sessions focused on the concept of self-love and inner recovery. The aim was to create a safe and stimulating environment that helps victims build a new, more stable and confident life.

The event was part of a series of activities carried out by the national campaign Safety for Every Human Being to highlight the Sultanate of Oman’s efforts to protect and support human trafficking victims in accordance with the highest humanitarian and legal standards. — ONA
