International dates, honey exhibition launched

MUSCAT: The third edition of the International Dates and Honey Exhibition launched at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.


Organised by Asas for Business and Development in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, the exhibition will run till October 29.


The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said al Busaidy, Governor of Musandam, in the presence of Dr Saud bin Hamoud al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and several officials.


The exhibition features participation from 200 local companies and institutions showcasing the finest varieties of Omani dates and honey, alongside 50 international companies representing 20 countries from various world countries.


These participants present the best types of dates, honey, their derivatives, and the equipment and tools specific to harvesting these two products, in addition to various other harvesting tools and equipment. — ONA
