President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of the Federative Republic of Brazil received Abdulghaffar bin Abdulkarim al Balushi at the Presidential Palace in Brasília on Tuesday for the formal presentation of his credentials as the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Brazil. During the meeting, the ambassador conveyed the warm greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Lula da Silva, along with His Majesty's sincere wishes for the President's well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the Brazilian people. In return, President Lula da Silva asked the ambassador to convey his cordial greetings to His Majesty the Sultan and his best wishes for the advancement and welfare of the Omani people.
