Visit to boost joint cooperation between two countries

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Republic of Türkiye will pay a two-day state visit to the Sultanate of Oman from Wednesday.

A statement to this effect was issued by the Diwan of Royal Court. It reads as follows: “In affirmation of the friendship relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Türkiye, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Türkiye will pay a two-day state visit to Oman on Wednesday and Thursday October 22-23.

“The visit comes within the context of the joint cooperation to achieve further welfare and growth in a manner that serves the two countries and meets their aspirations.

“During the visit, the two leaderships will discuss all matters that boost the joint action. They will also exchange views on a set of regional and international developments.

“May the Almighty Allah grant the leaderships of the two countries success for the good of their peoples and the Muslim nations!”

The bilateral relationship between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Türkiye is distinguished by a strong alignment across multiple domains, including diplomacy, economy, military affairs, investment, trade and culture. This partnership was significantly reinforced by the signing of numerous agreements and memoranda of understanding during His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s state visit to the Republic of Türkiye last November, underscoring a mutual commitment to deepening cooperation in all sectors.

The state visit by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, undertaken at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, marks a significant step in advancing bilateral relations and opening new horizons for economic and investment cooperation.
