

MUSCAT: Oman Refreshment Company (REFCO) successfully concluded the Oman REFCO Skeet Shooting Competition recently at the Action Point arena, drawing nearly 300 participants from across the Sultanate of Oman.
Held under the auspices of Brigadier General Mohammed bin Nasser al Kindi, Director-General of Operations at the Royal Oman Police, the tournament was organised in collaboration with Action Point.
The championship underscored REFCO’s commitment to youth development, community engagement and Oman Vision 2040, providing a platform for young Omanis to compete, grow and strengthen teamwork skills.
“We are proud to bring together Omani youth in a dynamic and competitive environment that celebrates sporting excellence and community spirit,” said Sulaiman al Salmi, Director of People, Culture and Corporate Services at REFCO.
“Through partnerships like this, we empower the next generation and contribute to the priorities of Oman Vision 2040.”
Open to participants aged 16 and above, the competition offered an arena for youth to challenge themselves, sharpen skills and experience camaraderie.
The top three winners in the general category were: Faisal al Jabri (First Place), Amer al Shebli (Second Place) and Ahmed al Toubi (Third Place). In the special-needs category, Abdullah al Ajmi (First Place), Ali al Ghedani (Second Place) and Amer al Shamli (Third Place) were honoured.
The tournament forms part of REFCO’s broader portfolio of youth and community initiatives, including skills development programmes, social engagement and sporting events. These efforts aim to encourage a culture of participation, confidence and inclusive growth, empowering young Omanis to actively contribute to the nation’s long-term development goals.
