

Muscat: A low-pressure system has been formed in the Arabian Sea, with the possibility of it developing into a tropical depression within the next 36 hours.
The Oman Meteorology said that the latest satellite images indicate the beginning of the formation of a low-pressure area moving west to northwest of the Arabian Sea, with a high probability of it developing into a tropical depression in the coming hours, without any direct impact on the atmosphere of the Sultanate of Oman during the next three days.
Cumulus clouds were active southeast of the Arabian Sea yesterday, gradually moving westward. Oman Met that it is closely monitoring developments.
The general weather bulletin said that the weather will be partly cloudy over the coastal areas of Musandam, Al Wusta, and Dhofar Governorates, and clear over the rest of the governorates. There will be chances of low clouds and fog forming late at night and early morning over the coastal areas overlooking parts of the Arabian Sea coast, and the possibility of dirt rising over open and desert areas, and a decrease in horizontal visibility in areas of fog and rainfall.
