Muscat: Oman Club continued their impressive run in the 2025-26 Jindal League, claiming a second straight victory with a 2–1 win over visiting side Ibri in the Round 4 opener at Seeb Sports Stadium.

The match began with Ibri pressing forward aggressively, trying to surprise the home side in the opening minutes. However, Oman quickly regained control and dominated the midfield through the movement of their central players, who created several dangerous opportunities for the attacking trio of Ali al Balushi, Al Harith al Mukhaini and Waleed al Muslimi. Ibri goalkeeper Omar al Abri made several fine saves to keep his team in the game.

As time went on, Ibri’s performance improved, but Oman’s defence remained solid in repelling attacks. In the 38th minute, captain Mohammed al Mashari gave Oman the lead after skillfully following up a corner cross to send the ball into the net, ending the first half with Oman ahead 1–0.

At the start of the second half, Oman Club maintained their attacking pressure and doubled the lead through defender Khalid al Alawi in the 48th minute, making Ibri’s task even harder. Ibri pushed forward to reduce the deficit and was awarded a penalty in the 59th minute after a clear foul inside the box. Abdulrahman al Yaqoubi successfully converted from the spot to make it 2–1. Despite Ibri’s late attempts to equalise, Oman’s defence and goalkeeper held firm until the final whistle.

With this win, Oman raised their tally to 9 points, climbing temporarily to third place, while Ibri remained on one point in 12th place after suffering their third defeat of the league campaign.

AL NAHDA IN FRONT

In another thrilling match from the same round, Al Nahda continued their strong form and temporarily topped the league table after a convincing 3–0 victory over Al Khabourah at the Al Rustaq Sports Complex.

Both teams began cautiously in the opening minutes before Al Nahda started asserting control. Their first real threat came in the 13th minute when Ahed al Mashaikhi’s powerful shot struck the post, followed by another effort from Kipama that was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Omar al Matroushi.

In the 26th minute, Mohammed al Ghafri broke the deadlock after a one-on-one with the goalkeeper, confidently slotting the ball into the net. He doubled the lead in the 35th minute after a well-coordinated team move that ended with a precise finish. Al Nahda continued to press as Al Khabourah retreated defensively, relying mostly on long balls with little effect.

In the second half, Al Nahda maintained dominance while Al Khabourah tried to narrow the gap. In the 78th minute, Darwish al Saadi’s shot hit the left post, before Abdulrahman al Ghassani sealed the win with a fine header in the 86th minute.

With this result, Al Nahda climbed to the top of the standings with 10 points from three wins and one draw, while Al Khabourah stayed on 4 points in eighth place after suffering their second loss of the competition.
