NIZWA: The second edition of the National Programme for Identifying Gifted Students began in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.

Implemented by the Ministry of Education through the Department of Diagnosis and Gifted Care, the programme targets sixth-grade students in local schools.

A total of 107 students are participating over two days — 54 taking exams on Sunday and 53 next Wednesday — in a specially prepared environment that nurtures creativity and accommodates individual differences.

The programme assesses intellectual fluency, originality, flexibility, and creative problem-solving skills to identify students with high mental abilities and innovative potential.

The initiative aligns with national efforts to support gifted students early in their education, equipping schools with resources to foster creativity and innovation, ultimately contributing to building a well-informed generation capable of advancing national development. - ONA
