AL JABAL AL AKHDHAR: The Directorate-General of Scouts and Guides, in cooperation with the Oman Challenge Foundation, is implementing the Oman "Gawhar" (Essence) Challenge Programme.
The programme involves female students from the Al Dakhiliyah and Muscat governorates as part of efforts aimed at empowering students, developing their leadership skills, self-reliance and community service.
The second phase of the programme is underway, involving 20 female students and supervisors from the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate from October 7-9, 2025. The third phase will host 20 female students and supervisors from the Muscat Governorate from October 21-23. Both phases are being held in the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdhar.
The programme aims to boost the students' self-confidence, develop their ability to face various challenges, enhance leadership skills, foster responsibility and encourage teamwork. It focuses on instilling the values of generosity and community service through practical and interactive activities that combine learning with real-life experience. - ONA
