MUSCAT: The Sultan Qaboos Naval Academy (SQNA) inaugurated the Virtual Reality (VR) Laboratory on Thursday, reflecting the Royal Navy of Oman's (RNO) commitment to keeping pace with modern technologies and developing its training system.


The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman.


The ceremony began with a briefing on VR technology and its role in utilising the latest interactive technologies to enhance the educational process at the Academy. Afterwards, Al Rahbi and the attendees watched a visual presentation on the stages of the VR laboratory's establishment and were briefed on the advanced equipment and technologies used within it. - ONA
