Labour Ministry holds vocational colleges workshop

Muscat: The Ministry of Labour is organizing a two-day workshop on preparing Vocational Colleges’ Strategic Plan (2026-2030). The workshop is exploring means of developing the colleges’ overall system of education and training.

The workshop focuses on prospects for enhancing the standards of graduates, with a view to grooming a generation of national cadres who are capable of efficiently contributing to the Sultanate of Oman’s comprehensive development.

The workshop is held under the auspices of Mahmoud Abdullah al Owaini, Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance.

The event, which brings together representatives from various military, civil, private and educational sectors, includes interactive discussion sessions to study views and insights from various stakeholders in a manner that ensures enhanced integration between education and training institutions and productive sectors.

The Vocational Colleges’ Strategic Plan is a key component of developing the vocational education and training system. It contributes measures for guiding educational policies and unifying efforts to groom highly efficient cadres and align them with labour market needs.
