MUSCAT, OCT 6

The fourth round of the Jetour Cup (2025–2026) brought mixed results across both groups, as the clash between Oman Club and Dhofar ended in an exciting 2–2 draw, while Al Rustaq earned a valuable 4–3 victory over Saham, and Samayil shared points with Al Nasr after a goalless draw.

Oman Club and Dhofar split the points after a 2–2 draw in their encounter at Seeb Stadium, within Group One.

The match began cautiously, with Dhofar enjoying slight attacking superiority through Omar al Dahi and Adi al Qarra, who tried to surprise Oman’s defence. However, the hosts remained well-organised at the back and kept goalkeeper Faris al Ghaithi’s net safe.

Oman Club responded with several attacking attempts through Waleed al Musallami, Al Bara al Maawali, and Ali Hassan, but Dhofar’s goalkeeper, Mazin al Kasbi, denied multiple dangerous efforts.

At the end of the first half, the referee awarded Dhofar a penalty in the 46th minute, which Jordanian striker Adi al Qarra converted confidently to give his team a 1–0 lead at half-time.

In the second half, Oman Club came out pressing aggressively in search of an equaliser. Their efforts paid off in the 57th minute when substitute Husni al Hinai scored following a well-organised move. Ten minutes later, Mohammed al Ameeri fired home a powerful shot in the 68th minute to complete the comeback and give Oman a 2–1 advantage.

Dhofar refused to give up, and substitute Mohammed al Habsi levelled the score in the 85th minute with a precise header that found the back of the net, ending the match in a thrilling 2–2 draw.

With this result, Oman Club moved up to four points, sitting fourth in the group standings, while Dhofar reached three points, earning a valuable away draw in Group One.

SAMAYIL HOLD AL NASR

In the other Group One fixture, Samayil and Al Nasr played out a goalless draw (0–0) in a match dominated by tactical discipline and few scoring chances.

The result leaves both teams on five points, maintaining pressure on group leaders Al Seeb, who remain on top with six points.

In Group Two, Al Rustaq achieved their first win of the tournament, defeating Saham 4–3 in a thrilling, high-scoring match that was not televised.

Omar al Shiyadi opened the scoring for Al Rustaq in the first half before Atikur Romukik equalised for Saham, ending the half at 1–1.

In the second half, both sides traded control, with Al Rustaq’s goals coming from Al Zahir al Qallhati, Abdullah al Saadi and Hamza al Abri, while Zuhair al Hasani and Yousef al Ghafi netted for Saham.

With this victory, Al Rustaq collected their first three points, climbing to sixth in the group standings, while Saham remained in fourth place with three points, awaiting the results of other fixtures.
