

MUSCAT: The Tender Board approved RO 279, 753, 234 worth of tenders for new projects and additional works to development projects in various fields at its third meeting for this year, chaired by Dr Said bin Mohammed al Saqri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Tender Board, on Wednesday.
The projects approved by the Tender Board included the design and construction of 42 integrated schools in various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, at a cost of RO 89,720, 93.
Tenders were also awarded for the remaining work on Adam-Thumrait Road dualization project, Part 1 and Part 3 ‘A’, at a cost of RO 44,326,666. The construction of a flood protection system in the Niyabat of Lima in the Wilayat of Khasab in Musandam Governorate, at a cost of RO 23, 998, 850. The construction of a dualization project linking Al Nuzha road to Muscat Expressway, at a cost of RO 20,876, 939.
The projects include the official partnership with the Iron Man Company for a period of 6 years, at a value of RO 19, 878,285, the design, supply, installation, implementation, and maintenance of the national system for managing projects and government procurement ‘Takamul’ at a value of RO 12, 305,511 rehabilitation of the Sinaw-Mahut-Duqm road, the first part, at a value of RO 9,214,063, construction of Muttrah Square at a value of RO 8, 959, 425, connecting lines and radio and television communications services at a value of RO 6, 653, 246 and construction of internal roads in the Wilayat of Saham at a value of RO 6,42,810.
