MUSCAT: The Digital Content Conference with AI was launched on Monday at the Civil Aviation Authority Hall, under the auspices of Dr Siham al Harthy, member of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, featuring a distinguished lineup of international and Omani speakers and experts.
The two-day event attracted a wide audience, including government and private institutions, entrepreneurs, and those interested in modern digital technologies. The conference reaffirmed Oman’s role in supporting innovation and promoting digital transformation in line with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
The conference brought together content creators, designers and digital entrepreneurs to explore the latest trends in content creation and AI applications, which delve into the realms of creativity and innovation. It included sessions, workshops, and inspiring discussions aimed at knowledge sharing and building an interactive network of experts and professionals, contributing to the development of this sector and keeping pace with global technological transformations. The focus was on empowering creativity with AI tools in video editing, image generation, character design, visual effects, and automated scriptwriting, in addition to accelerating creative production processes using smart tools to reduce time and effort in editing and design.
The conference also aimed to enhance visual and auditory experiences by improving image and sound quality and enabling real-time translation. It further highlighted opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship through digital production projects and creative agencies powered by AI.
Speaking to the Observer, Mohammed al Hajri, participant in the conference, stated that the conference was very insightful. He also added that the conference is crucial for anyone who wishes to understand digital marketing or incorporate artificial intelligence.
Dr Nada Ezz, an assistant professor in art education at Helwan University and AI ambassador for Egypt, emphasised that the future of AI is very promising in Oman. She noted that the massive number of conference attendees only goes to assert Omanis’ willingness and enthusiasm to learn more about AI.
On the sidelines of the conference, two distinctive competitions were launched. The first was the AI Video Production Competition, targeting youth and content creators to produce a short film about Oman using AI tools. The second was the Best Arab Influencers in AI Content Creation Competition, which aimed to honour Arab influencers who have played a significant role in spreading AI awareness through digital platforms. Winners were selected based on nominations and public voting and received the Digital Excellence Shield, certificates of recognition and the opportunity to participate as speakers in upcoming events.
