MUSCAT: The Government Communication Centre held its 29th meeting on Monday at the Ministry of Information, in the presence of officials from government units responsible for communication and media platforms.

The meeting reviewed the latest practices in engaging with the public, notably through the optimum use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in managing Meta digital platforms.

The meeting included a visual presentation by Meta on the latest practices of interaction with the public. The presentation was made by Ahmed Shehadeh, Government Policy Officer at Meta's regional office in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The meeting focused on four objectives: To develop the communications system in the Sultanate of Oman; to enhance positive communication between government institutions; to highlight the most prominent modern trends in digital communication between governments and the public; and to explain the role of Meta platforms in supporting electronic services and community interaction. - ONA
