MUSCAT, SEPT 26

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth represented by the 'We Are All With You' campaign, announced the mechanism for ticket distribution to support the Red Warriors in their crucial AFC Asian Qualifiers — Road to 2026 fixtures against Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, scheduled for October 8 and 11 in Doha.

Yaqoob al Balushi, Head of Marketing at the campaign, confirmed that the tickets of Oman matches against Qatar and UAE will be available in the platform by middle of the next week. "Following the Qatar Football Association’s directives as the match tickets will only be available through an online platform, with no option for physical sales outside the stadium. 'We Are All With You' campaign signed an agreement with Visit Oman — a licensed and secured platform — to serve as the exclusive ticketing and logistics hub to facilitate smooth access for Oman fans”, he added in his statement to Oman Sports TV.

“Through Visit Oman, fans will not only be able to purchase match tickets but also benefit from complete travel packages, including flights, accommodation and transport services. The platform, with its proven expertise in handling large fan groups, will provide a one-stop solution to ensure seamless support for the national team in Doha”, he said.

Unveiling the number of the tickets, Yaqoob responded: "In total, 5,800 tickets have been secured by the campaign for Oman fans including 1,000 tickets for the opening match against Qatar on October 8 while 4,800 tickets for the clash against the UAE on October 11. Tickets are expected to go live through the platform by the middle of next week. Each fan will be allowed to book only one ticket, with the process requiring full name, ID number and a nominal fee of RO 1 to confirm seriousness of purchase. Tickets will then be shared with fans via WhatsApp and email after confirmation”, he explained.

“To further encourage strong fan presence, the campaign — with support from its sponsors Sohar International and Nama — organised special flights. Two chartered flights are confirmed for the opening match against Qatar, while additional flights for the UAE match will depend on outcome of the first fixture. Discounted travel and stay packages will also be available, including return flights starting from RO 66 and hotel stays from RO 20 for 3-star, RO 28 for 4-star and RO 35 for 5-star options”.

Responding to an inquiry for the official team’s fans, Yaqoob said: ”As part of its fan engagement strategy, the campaign and OFA have also partnered with 10 clubs from the Oman Jindal League to nominate 200 dedicated supporters from fan, ensuring passionate representation in the stands. For Omanis who are working and residing in Qatar, they will have equal access to tickets through the Visit Oman platform. For the second match, 4,500 tickets will be released online to fans”, he concluded.
