The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Civil Aviation Authority, signed three bilateral air transport agreements today, Monday, September 22, 2025, with the Syrian Arab Republic, the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, and the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.

A memorandum of understanding was also signed with the Arab Republic of Egypt, aimed at enhancing cooperation

in civil aviation and expanding operating rights for national airlines.

The agreements and MoU were signed on behalf of Oman by Eng. Naif bin Ali bin Hamad Al-Abri, President of the Civil Aviation Authority.

The MoU specifically provide for expanded operating rights for the Omani national carriers and increased frequencies on routes between Oman and Egypt. This is expected to boost air traffic flows, enhance connectivity, and create greater opportunities for passenger and cargo transport, alongside associated aviation services.

The agreements were signed on the sidelines of the 42nd session of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Assembly, held in Montreal, Canada.
