All Royal Oman Police (ROP) services offered to expatriates are still carried out at the Al Qurum Command, while services to Omanis are shifted to Al Athaiba.
Earlier, the Muscat Governorate Police Command announced its relocation from Al Qurum to Al Athaiba, effective on September 21.
"All services offered to citizens from Al Qurum Command have been shifted to Al Athaiba Police Command as part of streamlining the services from September 21. However, the services offered to expatriates will remain in Al Qurum Command," an official told the Observer.
All services associated with expatriate passports, new resident cards, as well as their renewal, issuance and renewal of driving licences and other services are still availed from Al Qurum Command, and all services for Omani passport holders are shifted to Al Athaiba.
Services for expatriates — such as the issuance and renewal of resident cards, payment of traffic fines, vehicle registration and renewal, issuance and renewal of driving licences, vehicle ownership transfers, and requests for security escorts — are still being offered at Al Qurum Command.
