

MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman participated in the 10th meeting of the GCC Anti-Corruption Undersecretaries Committee, which was held via video conference.
The Sultanate of Oman was represented at the meeting by Ahmed bin Salem al Rujaibi, Deputy Chairman of the State Financial and Administrative Audit Institution for Auditing Government Units.
The meeting reviewed the draft guide for corporate liability for corruption crimes, the draft guide for parallel financial investigations in corruption cases, and the draft guide for procedures and measures for identifying the beneficial owner in the GCC countries. The meeting also discussed the Public Funds Protection Law and the Excellence Award for the ideal employee in anti-corruption agencies.
It also selected the theme for the 2026 annual event and approved the recommendations for the 2025 annual event.
The meeting also included the selection of the topic for the GCC competition to raise awareness of integrity and combat corruption, the joint Gulf event on the sidelines of the 11th Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption, and the memorandum of understanding signed between the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the International Anti-Corruption Academy. - ONA
