MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman has been named Guest of Honour at the 24th Amman International Book Fair, taking place at the Hussein Convention Center from September 25 to October 5. Oman will be represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth.
Participating institutions include the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman Society for Writers and Literati, Bait Al Zubair, as well as private publishers and libraries.
Oman has achieved notable success at recent international book fairs in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt and South Korea, where its pavilions showcased the nation’s cultural heritage, tourism potential and investment in creative industries. These contributions have further enhanced Oman’s presence in the global cultural arena. — ONA
