Khawla al Rawahi, Director of the Women’s Sports Department at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth (MoCSY), said that the competition had shown high technical levels from the very beginning. She noted that announcing the championship back in April gave institutions ample time to prepare and form strong teams through regular training programmes and internal qualifiers. She added that this year’s edition introduced a format change, starting with team qualifiers instead of singles as in previous years, which added more excitement and highlighted the spirit of teamwork among the players.
Al Rawahi emphasised that the championship provides female employees with the opportunity to step away from daily work routines and practice sport as part of their lifestyle. She stressed that the availability of coaches, trainers, and steady training programmes contributes to achieving the goals of the event.
