Muscat:  In a landmark achievement reflecting the Sultanate of Oman’s commitment to advancing global efforts against cancer, the Oman Cancer Association (OCA), celebrating its 25th anniversary, is to host the World Cancer Congress, Summit, and Exhibition 2025, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Social Development, and the Qatar Cancer Society in November. Scheduled for 3–6 November 2025 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) in Muscat, this prestigious international event aims to explore cutting-edge advancements in cancer care, foster global collaboration, and enhance public awareness to tackle one of the world’s most pressing health challenges.

The congress serves as a strategic platform to unite global efforts, focusing on prevention, capacity building, patient empowerment, and scientific research to drive tangible progress toward a healthier, more sustainable future.

Spanning four intensive days, the program features advanced scientific sessions, high-level policy summits, interactive community events, and practical workshops addressing critical topics such as healthcare innovations, public policies for cancer control, and community awareness. These elements position the congress not merely as a scientific gathering but as a dynamic platform for collective action to reduce cancer incidence and improve the quality of life for patients and survivors.

The event attracts a diverse group of professionals and stakeholders, ensuring its inclusivity and global impact. Attendees include oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, general practitioners, palliative care specialists, researchers, academics, policymakers, international organizations, civil society groups, cancer survivors, caregivers, and industry representatives from pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, health technologies, artificial intelligence, and healthcare financing. This diverse assembly fosters discussions on challenges and opportunities, emphasizing innovation and effective collaboration to address cancer comprehensively.

The summit focuses on forging sustainable strategic partnerships to combat cancer through in-depth discussions on prevention, healthcare workforce training, patient empowerment, and research support. The accompanying four-day exhibition showcases the latest innovations in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, digital health solutions, holistic wellness centers, nutritional supplements, and rehabilitation services.
