Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP), represented by the Directorate General of Standards and Metrology, has issued the first list of products required to carry the Omani Quality Mark.
The list covers Ordinary Portland Cement, Sulfate-Resisting Portland Cement, Portland Limestone Cement, and Ceramic Tiles, all of which must comply with specific international and regional standards.
Accordingly, MoCIIP has invited conformity assessment bodies to register as accredited entities authorized to issue licences for the Omani Quality Mark. Applications are to be submitted through the Hazm Platform www.hazm.gov.om.
