Muscat: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) prohibits the trading in military or military-like clothing and their accessories, under Decision No. 2/2019.

The decision, issued to safeguard public order and prevent misuse, clearly stipulates that all forms of trading in such items are strictly forbidden.

According to the CPA, violators will face fines starting from RO 50 and up to RO 1,000.

In cases of repeated offences, the penalty will be doubled.

Furthermore, if the violation continues, a fine of RO 50 will be imposed for each day, up to a maximum of RO 2,000.

The authority urged traders and the public to comply with the regulation, stressing its commitment to protecting consumers and ensuring adherence to national security considerations.
