

Muscat: Health sector projects under the Tenth Five-Year Plan (2021–2025) have achieved significant progress, with some hospitals nearing full completion, the Ministry of Economy (MoE) has announced.
The updates reflect the Sultanate of Oman’s continued focus on healthcare as a cornerstone of development and quality of life.
By mid-2025, the National Center for the Treatment of Blood Diseases and Bone Marrow Transplantation reached the highest milestone at 95 per cent, followed by Mahout Hospital at 93.7 per cent, Suwaiq Hospital at 85 per cent, and Khasab Hospital at 83 per cent.
Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah stood at 66 per cent, while Samail Hospital recorded 50.3 per cent.
Meanwhile, Al Nama Hospital in Al-Mudhaibi marked 21.9 per cent completion, and Al-Falah Hospital registered 11.3 per cent as construction work continues.
The ministry reaffirmed that these projects, once operational, will enhance medical services across the governorates and bolster the health sector’s infrastructure, which will help advance Oman’s long-term development objectives.
