Huge quantities of marijuana seized at Muscat airport

The Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, in cooperation with the Customs Department of Muscat International Airport, arrested an Asian air traveler upon his arrival at the airport for possessing nine kilograms of marijuana, which he had concealed meticulously in his travel bags with the intent to smuggle it into the country. Legal procedures are being completed.

Muscat International Airport Customs also seized 8 kilograms of marijuana hidden inside food bags from an Indian traveler.   

Al-Muzaynah Customs spoiled the smuggling of gold bars exceeding 15 kg from Omani Citizens who concealed them in two vehicles, while Sarfait Customs seized 20 wireless devices from a Yemeni traveler who did not declare their possession.
