The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA) on Sunday announced the opening date for Hajj registration for citizens and residents wishing to perform the Hajj for the 1447 AH season.
The online registration will be available between September 23 and October 8 and will be applicable for pilgrims aged 18 and above.
The Ministry said that the civil number recorded on the personal ID card will be used for registration, provided that it is valid, and that the applicant's personal (mobile) phone number will be used during the registration process to receive text messages from the system or personal email, which is the valid means of communication for any procedures or reports and their consequences.
To ensure transparency and freedom of choice for those eligible, Hajj companies are prohibited from interfering in the registration process.
It clarified that any application submitted outside the electronic pilgrim registration system or submitted after the specified period will not be accepted, except for those announced by the Ministry on the Ministry's website, social media accounts, or in local newspapers.
MERA noted that registration in the system does not constitute a promise to grant eligibility or final approval for such eligibility, except after the registration process has been completed, eligibility priorities have been sorted, those eligible for opportunities have been identified, and they have been officially notified in accordance with the regulations.
The Ministry confirmed that eligibility opportunities are granted automatically after the relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia verify the accuracy of the data within the limits of the number allocated to pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman.
The eligible applicant is notified via a text message via the system.
The Ministry has the right to cancel the opportunity if it is proven that the information provided by the applicant to compete for the eligibility opportunities is inaccurate. If the eligible person declines the opportunity, he does not have the right to grant it to other people. Rather, it is granted directly through the system to the next eligible person in the selection.
The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs confirmed that any application submitted before the announced deadline, after the specified period, or without the required attachments will not be accepted.
The Ministry will on Monday announce the timeline for the entire 1447 AH season, starting from registration until the last date for the entry of pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman to Saudi Arabia via land and air routes.
Announcing the registration date in advance confirms the Ministry's efforts to emphasize the importance of early preparation and completion of the necessary procedures, and its keenness to provide the best services so that pilgrim can perform their Hajj with ease and peace of mind.
It explained that the registration process is done directly through the link (www.hajj.om) during the specified period, as the system provides three methods for direct registration (registration by entering the civil number, the personal ID card, or the mobile phone number - if the personal ID card and phone card are supported by the electronic authentication system PKI.
