MUSCAT: The 2025 Arab Clubs Table Tennis Championship will conclude on Thursday following five days of high-level competition. The finals of both men’s and women’s team sections will take place at the main hall of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher. The women’s final will begin at 3 pm, followed by the highly anticipated men’s title clash.


After five days of intense action, the championship has witnessed thrilling contests and strong performances from across the Arab region. Four teams secured their spots in the men’s semifinals: Egypt’s ENPPI and Petrojet, Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad and Bahrain Club.


On the women’s side, ENPPI (Egypt), Al Kahraba (Iraq), Al Fata (Kuwait), and Petrojet (Egypt) advanced to the semifinals.

Sayyid Said bin Sultan al Busaidy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture, will be the chief guest for the concluding ceremony in presence of Khalil Ahmed al Mohannadi, President of the Arab Table Tennis Federation and Abdullah bin Mohammed Bamakhalaf, Chairman of Oman Table Tennis Association, besides senior sports officials, dignitaries and invited guests.


On the women’s side, ENPPI (Egypt), Al Kahraba (Iraq), Al Fata (Kuwait), and Petrojet (Egypt) advanced to the semifinals.

QUARTERFINAL DRAMA


The quarterfinal matches, which were lasting over three hours, delivered gripping encounters as ENPPI overcame Bahrain’s Saar Club in a tense 3–2 match to set up a semifinal clash with fellow Egyptians Petrojet, who defeated Iraq’s South Gas Club 3–1. Bahrain Club earned their semifinal ticket after edging Qatar Club 3–2 in another marathon showdown that went to the decisive fifth game. They will face Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia, who dispatched Iraq’s Naft Al Shamal SC 3–1 in a high-quality quarterfinal.


In classification matches, Oman’s Ibri Club claimed a 3–2 victory over Morocco’s Wydad to secure a stronger position in the 17th–24th bracket, while Salalah Club suffered a 3–0 loss against Jordan’s Al Karak in their placement match.
