MOH dismisses reports of viral fever in Dhofar

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said that it is monitoring the social media video about the spread of a virus that causes fever and requires hospitalization in Dhofar Governorate.

The Ministry said that the health situation in the governorate is stable and there are no indications of the spread of any virus, reassuring citizens and residents that the specialized teams are constantly monitoring the health situation.

Based on its responsibility to preserve public health, the Ministry has begun referring the matter to the competent authorities to take legal action against those who caused the publication or circulation of incorrect information about the health situation.


It urged people not to be swayed by rumors and to obtain information from the Ministry's official channels to follow health developments.

It also called on citizens and residents to assume responsibility when circulating health news and to avoid publishing anything that causes concern, stressing its responsibility to monitor the health situation and take all preventive and precautionary measures to preserve the safety and health of all.
