

BIDIYAH: The completion rate for the Bidiyah Recreational Centre project in Al Sharqiyah North Governorate has reached 55 per cent, with a total cost of over RO 2 million. The project is being implemented to serve as a tourist, cultural and recreational outlet at the heart of the governorate, which is well-known for hosting numerous events, particularly during the winter season.
Zubaida al Shidhani, Director of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Office and official spokesperson for Al Sharqiyah North Governorate, stated that the Bidiyah Recreational Centre project, with a cost of RO 2,547,139, is one of the most prominent projects currently being implemented by the governorate.
She added that it will be a unique addition to Oman’s recreational projects. Its location in the Wilayat of Bidiyah will enrich the tourism, cultural, social and recreational sectors. She explained that the centre will help energise the winter season events in the wilayat, which runs from October to March each year. — ONA
