MUSCAT: The Joint Command and Staff College at the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies on Monday celebrated the start of its 39th course for officer students. The ceremony was held under the auspices of Brigadier Mohammed bin Ahmed al Mashaikhi, Commandant of the Joint Command and Staff College.


On this occasion, the Commandant of the Joint Command and Staff College delivered a speech welcoming the officer students. He urged them to be diligent and persevere in their pursuit of military and academic knowledge. He also extended a welcome to the students from Arab and friendly nations, wishing them a pleasant stay in Oman and success in the course.


The course is participated by officers from the Ministry of Defence, the Sultan's Armed Forces, and other military and security units. Officers from the armed forces of GCC countries and several other Arab and friendly nations are also taking part. The event was attended by a number of senior officers from the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies, as well as the training and administrative staff of the Joint Command and Staff College. - ONA
