The Oman school futsal team will play for glory on Tuesday as they will take on hosts Jordan in the final of the Arab Schools Championship, with the coveted gold medal and championship trophy at stake. The decisive fixture will also witness the crowning of the top three finishers in the tournament. Oman will enter the match with six points, having recorded two commanding victories earlier in the competition including a 4-2 win against Libya and an emphatic 6-1 triumph over Saudi Arabia. With both teams unbeaten, the final showdown against Jordan will determine the champion of this year’s edition.

Speaking ahead of the final, assistant coach Sultan al Balushi emphasised the team’s readiness for this essential clash. “We are approaching this last match with full focus and enthusiasm. We know it will be a tough challenge against a strong Jordanian side, but the players are in high spirits and determined to deliver their best performance,” he said.

“We are relying on teamwork, tactical discipline and making the most of our strengths across all lines. I want to especially thank our goalkeepers, who have been a solid wall for us throughout the tournament and played a major role in reaching the final. We trust our players to execute the game plan with persistence until the last moment, and we hope to bring joy to our supporters by lifting the championship trophy for Oman,” he concluded.

On the sidelines of the competition, a special reception was hosted for the participating delegations at the Mina Tayki Hotel in Amman, where the teams are staying. The event included cultural exchanges and the presentation of commemorative shields between the delegations, highlighting the spirit of unity and friendship that underpins the Arab Schools Championship.
