MUSCAT: Oman’s school futsal team will face Saudi Arabia on Sunday at Al Hussein College Stadium in what promises to be a decisive fixture at the ongoing Arab School Championship in Jordan. The match will kick off at 6:00 pm (Oman time).

Fresh off their opening victory against Libya with a 4-2 scoreline, the young Omanis enter the second match with confidence and determination. A win against Saudi Arabia would take the team a step closer to securing the championship title, before concluding their group campaign against hosts Jordan on Tuesday at 6:00 pm (Muscat time).

Coach Confident

“Our team is fully prepared for this crucial game against Saudi Arabia. After the win in our first match, the players have continued their preparations with high morale and strong motivation. All players are ready, and our objective is clear – to claim victory and reach six points.” Salman al Mudelwi, Coach of Oman’s school futsal team said.

As part of the cultural and educational activities accompanying the championship, participating delegations enjoyed a touristic excursion to Ajloun Castle and the ancient ruins of Jerash. The visit offered students an opportunity to explore Jordan’s rich history, heritage, and cultural landmarks, reflecting the tournament’s broader goal of fostering cultural exchange alongside sporting competition.

The Arab School Championship, organised under the supervision of the Jordanian and Arab School Sports Federations, continues to provide a platform for young athletes from across the region to showcase their talent while strengthening educational and cultural ties.
